Conducts audits of school site source documentation to ensure proper reimbursement. Under direction from supervisors, train and make corrections with school site staff.

Review and adjust plans, orders, records, and withdraws for assigned schools to ensure adequate and accurate inventory levels.

Visit assigned sites on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of documentation, inventory, and that proper National School Lunch Program (NSLP) regulations are being followed. Auditing duties include but are not limited to production records, freezer/cooler temperature logs, and bank deposit summary (daily cash, coin, and check revenues from meal sales and a la carte sales).

Schedules and secures server cashier subs as needed. Assigns workstations and areas ensures performance of assigned tasks.

Stays current in federal regulations relating to NSLP, SBP, CACFP, and SFSP. Attend annual training courses.

Assist with processing of Free/Reduced lunch applications and maintains confidentiality of student meal status within the School Lunch Program.

Knowledge: Full understanding of food service safety and sanitation, and basic food preparation. Computer operations include advanced skills in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing.
Skills (position requirements at entry): Individual must demonstrate ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment, have excellent phone and written communication skills, the ability to relate to diverse groups people, be a flexible and adaptable team member, and maintain a pleasant disposition under stress.
Training and Experience (position requirements at entry): High School Diploma or GED. Previous education, training, work or life experience which provides reasonable evidence of the successful performance of the various tasks listed. Such experience may be evidenced by one (1) to three (3) years of secretarial training with a basic understanding of computer terminal operations and records retention systems. Candidates with ServSafe food Managers certificate preferred.
Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry): Valid Alaska driver's license. Must be able to pass the Alaska Food workers card upon hire, and a valid ServeSafe within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements: Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force routinely, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
