Form of workA private UHNW household based in Brentwood, Los Angeles, seeks a full-time, live-out junior nanny/Mother's helper to join their team. Expect a 5 day per week schedule, from 8am-8pm, with the family requiring coverage over weekends as well.
The nanny will be assisting with the care of four children ranging in age from 3-11 years-old, working as part of a nanny team of between 2 and 4 at any one time. Responsibilities will include supporting homework, encouraging and participating in educational and traditional games, overseeing sports and recreational activities, cleaning and organizing the children's bedrooms, toys, clothes, and belongings, working alongside tutors and schools, managing hectic family schedules, and generally being responsible for the children's happiness, health and well-being. The principals are hands-on and involved, so candidates should be comfortable tag-teaming with the parents and with being responsive to the general environment, and must be effective team-players. Other responsibilities will include supporting Mum with various tasks including running errands, gift purchasing, managing wardrobes, scheduling appointments, personal shopping and organizing returns, etc.- really anything and everything that helps Mum and contributes to a smooth running home.
The ideal candidate is upbeat, positive, and energetic, has an understanding of professional boundaries and is excellent at reading the room. Previous experience (and longevity) in a similar household is essential, and a pitch-in attitude would be appreciated. The family travel internationally and domestically on a regular basis and the nanny/Mother's help would be expected to accompany them for some of those trips. Summer travels may be for between 4 and 8 weeks, so candidates must be flexible and able to accompany the family for at least some of the time. The family will offer from $35/hr, depending on experience.
