About The Role

The essence of our agency is storytelling through video, and as our YouTube Video Editor, you'll be pivotal in this creative process. This role extends beyond mere cutting and joining clips - it's about sculpting raw footage into compelling videos that attract and retain a viewers attention with the use of visual effects, animations, and storytelling. You'll be instrumental in crafting the visual and auditory experience of our content creators' work. Collaborating closely with our vibrant team and diverse clientele, you're tasked with transforming rough ideas into polished, engaging videos that captivate viewers, drive high engagement, and retention rates.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into cohesive, engaging videos that capture the essence of the content and appeal to YouTube audiences.
• Work with content strategists and team members to define the video's narrative flow, pace, and style.
• Working alongside creators and giving feedback to take their production to the next level.
• Ensure all videos comply with YouTube's best practices for audience engagement and channel growth.
• Stay updated on YouTube trends and integrate them into videos to maintain relevancy and appeal.
• Adapt editing styles to match different creators' genres and preferences, ensuring a unique and authentic viewing experience.
• Utilize project management software(s) (Monday.com) to track video editing progress.
• Maintain vigilance against copyright infringement in video content.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 4+ years of video editing experience, specifically for YouTube or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Demonstrated ability to analyze YouTube analytics, with a portfolio of edited videos that have achieved high viewer engagement and retention.
• Advanced skill in crafting video content that enhances viewer experience, as evidenced by a diverse portfolio.
• A track record of videos edited that have achieved significant views and engagement.

Nice-To-Haves

• Agency experience.
• Familiarity with Slack.
• Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Film Editing, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Experience editing short-form content for platforms like TikTok or Instagram Reels.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
