La Grande School District is now accepting applications for the following position:
Temporary
Youth Transition Program Specialist
8 hours/day, school days

POSITION OVERVIEW: The YTP Specialist at LHS will serve students with disabilities who need additional support, beyond the services offered through the general or special education program, to achieve post secondary employment and continuing education goals. These services will begin during the last two years of high school and will include follow-up support after leaving school. Services will include career development, including goal setting, career exploration, job search skills, and self advocacy, with an emphasis on paid employment. The YTP Specialist will coordinate and collaborate with LHS case managers and other agencies to meet these needs and provide appropriate services. The District will determine whether to extend the temporary position or repost it as a regular position.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or G.E.D. A minimum of two years (72 quarter credit hours) of higher education, an Associate's Degree or have met rigorous standards of quality in math, reading, and writing through the WorkKeys Assessment. Must undergo an FBI fingerprint background check.
SALARY RANGE: $16.64 - $20.78 per hour. Benefits are provided with this position.
