Our Youth Basketball Referee are responsible for officiating youth basketball games for the Sonoma County Family YMCA Youth Basketball League.
Successful candidates for this position possess the following skills-
- Reasonable knowledge of the game of basketball with an emphasis on the rules specific to the Sonoma County Family YMCA Youth Basketball League.
- Supportive of diversity and inclusion in all interactions.
- Ability to control all aspects of a basketball game.
- Strong, confident communication with participants, parents and coaches.
Minimum Qualifications-
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Fingerprint clearance from both Department of Justice (DOJ) & FBI, which includes sex offender screening.
Preferred Qualifications-
- CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to be certified once hired)
- Language skills in Spanish.
