About Us:
The South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs is dedicated to enriching the lives of our community members by providing a diverse range of recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Youth Sports Instructors for the launch of the new Baird Community Center. This “new” building will include a beautiful community space and café, dance and fitness spaces, dedicated art rooms, a multi-purpose performance space and a full gymnasium.
Instructors' will be able to design their own program offerings and schedules. Instructors must have appropriate knowledge, experience and certifications (where applicable) in the program areas they wish to teach and be able to commit to a consistent schedule for each program session (6-10 weeks).
Responsibilities will include planning and implementing age appropriate activities, adapting teaching methods to students, and most importantly creating a safe, fun environment. Instructors are responsible for tracking attendance and reporting all accidents, injuries, or other important information to their supervisor.

- Parent/Child Classes (Infant-Preschool)
- Elementary School (Pre-K-5th)
- Teens
