Your Mission:
As a Youth Program Leader at CASL, you will play a pivotal role in planning and implementing after-school and full-day programs for SAC, middle school, and high school students. Reporting to the Youth Program Coordinator, you'll supervise and manage youth activities, creating an environment where young minds can flourish.

Your Impact:
As a Youth Program Leader you will:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- Identify social and recreational needs of students, recommending initiatives to meet those needs.
- Provide support to youth in developmental, social, and psychological aspects.
- Partner with parents regarding students' progress and special needs.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate interns, tutors, and volunteers.
- Enter client efforts and case notes into CASL's databases.
- Comply with DCFS licensing standards for classrooms.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate data regularly to meet funding requirements.
- Conduct workshops and enrichment activities for youth.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant learning space for youth.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- At least two years of college in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of practical experience in youth work or social services.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; bilingual in English and Chinese preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Good communication skills with youth and parents.
Physical Demands:
- Work primarily in a classroom involving prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
Environment and Scheduling:
- Work during program hours, with flexibility for alternate hours if needed.
- Mainly indoor work with occasional field trips or meetings.
