Holly Spring Friends Youth Pastor

Full-Time Position Overview
The Youth Pastor acts as a mentor to the young people of the church. He/she serves by leading the youth program, directing the youth activities and coordinating youth efforts with the overall programs of the church.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid Christian faith, with an understanding and agreement with Holly Spring Friends Statement of Faith and Policy.
• 4-year College Degree in Ministry-related Field
• A Minimum of 1-3 Years Experience in Youth Ministry

Overall Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Serve as an assistant to the Pastor in numerous aspects of ministry, including weekly assistance in worship services and visitation.
2. Intentional visitation of children/youth and their families.
3. Work with Young Friends Activities Committee to establish goals, plans and objectives for youth program.
4. Provide a balanced program in the areas of education, service, fund-raising, recreation, worship and participation in the programs of the church at large, which will lead to responsible adult leadership.
5. Discern and implement ministry health and vision by continually evaluating the needs, interests, desires, strengths and weaknesses of the youth ministry.
6. Work with the committees that relate to Children’s Ministry, such as Christian Education, helping to evaluate the needs and develop plans to enhance programs.
7. Report to Ministry & Counsel with primary oversight by the Senior Pastor.
8. Communicate regularly with the Senior Pastor and to Ministry & Counsel concerning
the plans, objectives and goals including the successes and challenges of this ministry.
9. Develop a budget for programming needs.
10. Attend and share responsibility in Atlantic Friends Christian Ministries activities.
11. Work with our "Park Outreach Team" to develop and implement outreach opportunities utilizing our land and park resources.
