Oasis Center was founded in 1969, a group of young lawyers came together to establish the “Rap House,” a simple community center for runaway teens and youth struggling with addictions. Oasis Center provides a wide range of opportunities that reflect the diverse needs of youth and their families, from crisis intervention to youth leadership and community engagement to college and career access. Position: Youth and Family Prevention Manager

Job Summary: Manage services for youth and families/caregivers of youth helping to maintain safe and permanent housing. This position will cultivate relationships within Oasis Center and the community to prevent youth and their families from experiencing homelessness, including MNPS.

Salary Range: $40,000- $50,000

Essential Functions:

• Provider supervision and support to the prevention clinical case managers.
• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the prevention programming.
• Establish prevention partnerships that work to prevent a youth and their family from experiencing homelessness with MNPS, HERO programming, DCS, Family and Children Services, YMCA, Rocket Town, and other agencies as identified.
• With the Director of Outreach actively manage, analyze, and assess program progress on meeting agreed upon targets.
• Coordinate internal service transitions with the manager of outreach and shelter coordinator.
• In collaboration with Crisis to Housing therapists, work with the families/caregivers of minor youth experiencing a housing crisis to identify and coordinate needed community resources for stability.
• Establish outreach routes that reach out to minor youth experiencing homelessness through partnership with MNPS, HERO programming, YMCA, Rocket Town, and other agencies as identified.
• Assist in leading weekly canvassing efforts in coordination with the Manager of Outreach.
• Participate in crisis to housing on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and two years relevant experience or five years relevant experience.
• A creative, resourceful, responsive style with a strong attention to detail and follow-through and the ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Ability to form strong, caring and affirming relationships with all youth –including LGBTQ+ youth.
• Clear understanding of racial inequities and other forms of discrimination and willingness to operate from an anti-oppression model.
• Knowledge of an ability to apply Positive Youth Development, Trauma-Informed Care, and evidence-informed practices based in an understanding of adolescent development.
• Valid Driver’s license.
