Responsibilities:

The Central Branch YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Youth, Family and Adult Sports Director. The ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of the community. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others. This job will be inclusive of management of youth, family, teen, and Adult Sports programs.

  • Lead: Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
  • Develop: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Grow: Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

Requirements:

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Four-year degree is preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
  • Must exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • One to two years of related experience is preferred.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Exempt, Full time $40,000-$42,500 annually
