Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Youth Dance Instructor/Choreographer to join our dynamic team at QC Dance. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of young dancers by providing high-quality instruction in a variety of dance styles. Your expertise will help cultivate technical proficiency, artistic expression, and self-assuredness among our diverse student base.

Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons that cater to various skill levels and age groups, ranging from 3 to 18 years old.
Instruct students in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Lyrical dance styles, focusing on proper technique, form, musicality, and artistic interpretation.
Develop and choreograph routines for performances, recitals, and competitions.
Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where students can express themselves, build self-esteem, and develop a lifelong love for dance.
Foster positive relationships with students and their families, promoting open communication and collaboration.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and the artistic director to enhance the curriculum, ensuring a well-rounded dance education.
Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the dance industry, adapting teaching methods and choreography as needed.
Assist with costume selection for competitive and performance teams.
Travel with teams to dance events, competitions, and conventions. (Approx 4 weekends per year.)
Occasionally teach or assist with ballroom dance classes, utilizing any experience or interest in this style.

Qualifications: Availability to teach Saturday morning Recreational classes is a must for this position. Proven experience as a dance instructor, with expertise in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Lyrical dance styles.
Strong passion for dance education and a genuine interest in fostering students' growth and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with children and teenagers.
Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
Familiarity with ballroom dance is a plus, but not required.
Flexibility in working evenings until approximately 8:00 - 8:30 PM.
Enthusiasm for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the dance studio environment.
