GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Teach children’s dance classes as needed on a substitute basis. All classes are conducted on-site at the JCCSF Dance School. In addition, the instructor helps create and maintain a clean and safe environment for dance participants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach children ages 3-10.
- Follows curriculum for all classes.
- Work collaboratively with other Dance Instructors.
- Additional duties as required for the dance program.
REQUIREMENTS
- Recent experience teaching children
- Provide a sample lesson plan for a children’s 50-minute dance class (ballet or hip-hop).
- Must be reliable, warm and welcoming, and have good communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is conducted on-site at the JCCSF.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to demonstrate and teach a variety of dance movements.
STATUS
Non-benefited, non-exempt position
HOURS/SCHEDULE
On call/as needed, Monday – Friday: 2:30 –6:30PM
