We are currently seeking a Youth Specialist to join our team on the afternoon/evening (noon-8pm) shift. WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED . The Youth Specialist will be a highly skilled professional who is passionate about providing quality of care to youth who have been abused, neglected, or temporarily separated from their family due to a crisis situation. All Youth Care Specialist are required to provide for all the needs of the children including constant supervision throughout the duration of the assigned work schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: other duties may be assigned
- Maintain constant supervision to ensure safety and wellbeing of all children in care
- Review and implement all youth service plans and supervision plans
- Maintain compliance with High Sky Policies, procedures, and requirements
- Encourage and teach youth basic social, academic, emotional, independent living skills necessary to be successful
- Complete youth documentation such as daily progress logs, incident reports, medical forms, and medication logs
- Complete all appointments and documentation within the guidelines set by residential licensing standards, residential contract requirements, and agency policy and procedures
- Implement an effective youth motivation system and utilize appropriate and positive discipline techniques with youth
- Prepare and serve youth a nutritious balanced meal and snacks
- Maintain a clean & orderly shelter by completing daily chores and duties as assigned
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments for medical needs
- Transport youth to appointments such as visitation, court hearings, school, therapy, and medical appointments
- Attend and participate in monthly developmental, team, and all-staff meetings
- Maintain compliance with required annual trainings
- Regular and timely attendance is required
