Job Objective:
As the Teen and Youth Services Coordinator you will be responsible for the overall program development, implementation, and ongoing staff management related to all Youth and Teen programming, specifically including oversight of the ZONE, and other specialty programming. The coordinator will work closely with other departments in binding all youth programs across various departments together ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.
What You Will Do:
- Implement the short and long-range strategic vision and objectives for the Youth Development department through development and communication of specific and measurable objectives and priorities.
- Develop, direct and guide programming with specific emphasis on development and oversight of programming for the Zone
- Evaluate classes and programs to ensure efficient execution, evaluate effectiveness, and make.
- Monitor and maintain all facilities, supplies, and equipment related to youth programming; coordinating with facilities department as required. Work to ensure a safe, attractive, and clean environment for Youth and families
- Incorporate spiritual discovery elements into youth mentoring and engagement programming
- Actively participate in and engage with community events and outreach to promote involvement with the Kroc Center
- Monitor budgets and supply proper submissions of requests for equipment maintenance and purchasing along with maintaining current inventory..
- Other tasks as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed. Findings may disqualify an individual for this position
Experience: One year experience working directly with youth
Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership, field personnel, and clientele
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn electronic reporting systems
- Capable of connecting/relating with children from 11 to 17

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a office environment. Some weekend and evening work is required
