Youth Advocate
Duties:
- Educate and empower youth by providing guidance and support
- Serve as a mentor and role model for young individuals
- Assist in developing and implementing programs to address the needs of at-risk youth
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of young individuals
- Facilitate scenarios on life skills, conflict management, and decision-making
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth participants in programs
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a mentoring or social work capacity
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with addiction counseling principles is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with youth from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with young individuals
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with youth facing challenges
