Youth Advisor Job Description: The Youth Advisor intern will assist in educating and advocating for young pregnant and parenting teens in relation to the objectives of our Sutter Teen Programs. The Youth Advisor will support the agency in providing input, addressing challenges, and informing decisions to best meet the needs of our youth and in compliance with the funder's requirements. The Youth Advisor will be responsible for participating in meetings to inform programs that serve expectant and parenting young people and engage in their own specialized media project. The Youth Advisor will assist with outreach activities and support case managers in the development, planning, and coordination of monthly youth engagement opportunities for our clients that emphasize parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting and/or family well-being in the format of community events, family activities, ongoing groups, or educational presentations.
Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications: Current participant or graduate of the the Adolescent Family Life Program or Cal Learn Program. Someone with lived experience as a teen parent, preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Bilingual in Spanish, is preferred but not required for this role.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Pay Range is $1.00 to $500.00 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
