Position Title: Mental Health and Substance Use Therapist

Location: Alexandria VA

Schedule: Monday to Friday | No evenings for weekends

Job Type: Full Time

Work Environment: Teen and Young Adult Outpatient Treatment Center | Partial Hospitalization Programming

About the role

As a Substance Use and Mental Health Therapist, you will have the chance to work with Young Adults ages 18-30 who are seeking help for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will play a key role in their treatment and care, providing them with clinical guidance and support throughout their recovery journey. You will conduct clinical groups and individual therapy sessions, using various approaches and techniques to help them cope with their challenges and achieve their goals.

You will also monitor their progress and outcomes, using evidence-based tools and feedback. You will collaborate with other therapists and team members, to provide comprehensive and holistic support to our clients. You will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary team that strives to deliver high-quality and innovative care to Young Adults struggling with substance use and mental health issues.

Who You Are

  • You are a licensed or provisionally licensed therapist in Virginia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • You have experience in substance abuse treatment.
  • You have proficiency in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy
  • strong documentation skills.
  • You are passionate about working with Young Adults and helping them achieve their goals.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary $64,000-$83,000
