General Description:
Instructs a variety of classes to all fitness levels. Monitors proper execution and form of participants. Tracks participation levels for classes and events.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Yoga Instructor is responsible for providing appropriate yoga and meditative practice for participants of all fitness levels and abilities. Will also provide progressions and regressions in individual practices and educate on breathing principles and safe techniques.
General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Education or experience in health and fitness is preferred. Certification in yoga instruction.
Experience: Hospital or rehabilitation center experience highly preferred, carries own liability insurance.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: 200 hours yoga certification. CPR/First Aid certification.

- Supports the development and delivery of fitness programs
- Ensures the safety of participants during training sessions or classes
- Conducts and leads exercise and/or yoga classes
- Virtually assess students to determine their level of practice
- Demonstrates practice and proper techniques
- Motivate participants with words of encouragement during classes
- Organizes fitness class location
- Offers training recommendations to improve
- May collaborate with marketing and promotion of applicable programs.
- Engages in administrative duties
