We are looking for an engineer who can drive changes in the design and implementation strategies of the GPU to improve yield and reliability and to lower the effort required to build GPU derivatives across products.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Analyze the reliability impact of BTI, TDDB, HCI, and electromigration on the GPU.
  • Collect data to define appropriate use cases and mission profiles. Refine for new products as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g. process, logic design, physical design, firmware, etc.) to propose and drive the implementation of solutions to mitigate silicon aging and reduce the risk of failures.
  • Perform yield analysis for various GPU configurations. Propose design changes to improve yield. Drive the yield recovery methodology.
  • Analyze the design and implementation strategies used on competing GPUs. Prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations for other GPU teams up to help drive next-generation product choices.
  • Identify limitations and propose alternatives to make the physical structure of the GPU more scalable across product tiers and segments (value and premium tier mobile, compute).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • In depth understanding of PBTI/NBTI, TDDB, HCI, and electromigration.
  • 10+ years of work experience related to hardware engineering, process technology, circuit simulation, data analysis, and competitive analysis.
  • Knowledge of GPU architecture.
  • Understanding of power management features.
