Yard Worker Pahrump Location

Yard Workersare important members of the Star Nursery team. They are responsible for unloading and stocking all new plant material in a safe and efficient manner. They provide general plant upkeep & quality control and work outside in yard area of our stores.

Job Description:

• Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service
• Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage.
• Loading and unloading plant material
• Operating a forklift
• Product quality control
• Product knowledge & Plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
• Stocking & Labeling
• Store upkeep
• Receiving, Stocking & Moving Merchandise
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Effective and relevant work experience in lawn and garden center industry or equivalent
• honest and hard working
• Must be able to work long hours (seasonal overtime available) in all types of weather conditions
• Must be able to lift & move plant material
• Must be able to pass a drug test (safety sensitive position)
• Authorization to work in the United States

• Frequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legs

• Working with arms extended and bent constantly
• Frequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feet
