Yard Worker

Summary: Yard Worker needed for a 7-month contract to manage inventory, operate forklifts, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pull orders safely, accurately, and promptly; may involve forklift operation or manual picking.

• Verify equipment quantities and condition against picking tickets during delivery and return processes.

• Unload trucks manually or with a forklift and organize returned equipment in the warehouse or yard.

• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of motor vehicles used in the transport of equipment.

• Report any safety, mechanical issues, or concerns regarding damaged equipment to a supervisor promptly.

• Ensure yard housekeeping is maintained at acceptable levels under all weather conditions; coordinate activities with other yard personnel as needed.

• Conduct physical/cycle counts as required.

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating a forklift safely and efficiently.

• Ability to perform accurate inventory counts and document discrepancies.

• Familiarity with maintaining equipment cleanliness and organization.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in coordinating yard activities and managing housekeeping tasks.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $15.00 to $21.00 per hour
