SUMMARY: The Yard Truck & Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the loader machine and additional equipment such as a bucket loader, fork truck, Yard Truck, and baler in the loading and unloading of recycling materials. The Yard Truck & Equipment Operator must ensure proper placement and sorting of recyclable materials so that the outbound recycling materials are acceptable for sale to various brokers and mills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely and productively operate equipment multiple types of equipment while monitoring the area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic
- Identifies and deposits waste into appropriate piles and stacks bales
- Move, load, and unload trucks and trailers as needed
- Continuously monitor the equipment to ensure proper operation and ensure minimal production downtime
- Complete equipment condition report and communicate necessary repairs to the supervisor
- Perform minor service on equipment
- Lift and move recycling materials utilizing equipment and manually sort as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness of the recycling area
- Assume custodial duties as needed
- Comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required
- Conducts other duties and tasks as business dictates
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access to or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two-years relevant experience as an Equipment Operator
- Ability to effectively communicate with all team members, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent changing priorities
- Must be a team player, organized and detail oriented
- Good computer skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally more with assistance
- Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (standing, lifting, walking, pushing, stooping)
- The employee is frequently required to talk or hear
- The employee is required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth vision

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial warehouse environment
- Willingness and ability to wear safety glasses, earplugs, hard hat, steel-toed boots, and any other required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid certificate(s) of training, as required for use of equipment
- MA Hoisting license
- Valid Class A License preferred
