Yard Operations Manager

Country Gardens & Nursery (CGN) is now looking for a Yard Operations Manager. Duties:
- Oversee and manage all Yard Operations as well as bulk Yard Operations
- Develop and implement efficient yard management strategies to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with transportation planning teams to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods.
-Coordinates custom planting and delivery projects in partnership with owner.
- Oversees heavy moving and set up around nursery yard, gift shop and offices.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Manages logistics for nursery machinery and equipment.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Yard Operations efficiency.
- Supervise a team of yard workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Manage budgeting and resource allocation for Yard Operations.

- Proficiency in planning and logistics management.

- Ability to effectively supervise a team and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent budgeting skills to manage resources effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
-Must have valid driver license - CDL license a plus.
-Must be confidenterating/driving large equipment (mini loader, skidster, kaboda, etc)
-Spanish speaking a plus.
-Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills

This role requires a candidate who is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively. The Yard Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all Yard Operations, ensuring smooth coordination between nursery owner, customers and managing a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
