Job Summary:

To move loads safely and efficiently from one area of the property to another. The Yard Byproduct Handler will be responsible for operating a terminal mule to move trailers within the facility property, cleaning spilled peanut hulls, tarping loads, and operating a front-end loader when needed. This position involves performing physically demanding work within the facility/plant with frequent exposure to peanut dust and crushed hulls.
This is an entry-level, full-time position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Exercise good judgment and proper operating skills required to operate the vehicle within the confines of the facility, positioning trailers at, and maneuvering vehicle in crowded areas around the facility.

· Observes and maintains posted speed limits.

· Transfers loaded and unloaded products trailers.

· Utilizes trailers and performs a variety of labor-intensive task to move trailers around plant property.

· Back trailers and Class 8 Vehicles into tight spaces on plant property

· Maintains a clean work area that is free of debris or safety hazards.

· Performs other job-related duties that may be as assigned as needed

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Three to Six months Truck Driving Experience

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

Physical Requirements:

This is a safety sensitive position.

· Specific vision abilities are required for this job including but not limited to distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

· Bend, twist at the waist, neck, shoulders, wrists, repeatedly grip and grasp, and operates foot pedals.

· Occasionally sits, stoops, kneels, crouches and crawls

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
