Position Snapshot: The core responsibility of this position is to safely operate industrial forklifts and other heavy equipment equipped to move materials around production areas, plant storage yard, manufacturing facilities, construction sites or similar locations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate lift trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various product, equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, clean equipment.
- Pull and stage products for delivery pickup with extreme accuracy.
- Ensure product is transported from storage or receiving area consistent with safety, quality and production goals.
- Verify product availability/inventory levels and identify losses.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area, particularly around the loading area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow safety standards, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of industrial forklift and heavy equipment operations.
- Knowledge of plant storage yard operations and best practices.
- Knowledge of equipment inspection, preventive maintenance and minor repair of industrial forklift and heavy equipment.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator's license.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience with industrial forklift/heavy equipment operation.
- High school or GED equivalent required.
Residency Requirement(s):
- Must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
Equipment to be used: General hand tools, power tools, ladders, extended ladders, variety of mobile equipment.
Typical Physical Demands (Maximum physical requirements by Essential Job Qualifications, during normal job duties and % of Time): a. Standing: 90; b. Sitting: 10; c. Moving: 100; d. Climbing Ladder: 25; e. Lifting: 50 max 50#; f. Pushing/Pulling: 50 max 50#; g. Reaching: 90; h. Visual Acuity: 100; i. Bending/Stooping: 75.
This position is physically demanding and often requires work outdoors, while exposed to all types of weather conditions. Work is performed in a production environment, with ambient air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting.
