Job Summary:
Responsible for independent operation of all x-ray , and other imaging equipment such as CT, MR, and Ultrasound.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic imaging examinations according to department protocols.
- Analyze imaging, synthesize imaging information and medical history, and document proper information for physician.
- Assume responsibility for safety, mental and physical comfort of patient while in the care of the technologist.
- Assist with daily operations of the department
- Maintain diagnostic equipment and work area, and maintains adequate supplies.
- Use independent judgment during patient exam to accurately differentiate normal and pathologic findings.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.

- Training- N/A
- License/Certification - ARRT and State of New Mexico certifications; current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
