X-RAY TECHNICIAN (Full time)

Premier Physicians is currently seeking a Full time X-Ray Technician

Our growing group practice encompasses internal and family medicine, medical and surgical specialties, and has comprehensive on-site diagnostic centers conveniently located in the communities we serve in the Cleveland metro area.

Premier Physicians has an open position for a Full Time X-Ray Technician who is a team player.

.JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for taking all x-rays, performing all x-ray related duties, and assisting in the performance of all other diagnostic testing as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare patients for radiologic exams.

· Takes x-rays following guidelines for patient care and safety.

· Follows radiation protection guidelines using proper shielding.

· In charge of all x-ray equipment: notifying the proper people in case of breakdown.

· Logs all radiographic procedures.

· Document in EMR system, ECW

· Performs other tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

· Current CPR certification, ARRT registered, and current Ohio Radiologic License.

EDUCATION:

· Graduate of accredited x-ray technician program.

EXPERIENCE:

· Experience with Siemens Equipment helpful

KNOWLEDGE:

· Knowledge of OSHA standards and x-ray equipment including safety hazards common to all radiological exams.

· Knowledge of x-ray procedures and protocols.

· Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform x-rays including body mechanics and patient movements.

SKILLS:

· Proper positioning of patients.

· Skill in easily identifying equipment and related problems on all x-ray equipment.

ABILITIES:

· Ability to apply written instruction and standardized work practices.

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families.

· Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL:

· Standing, stooping and bending. Requires movement of equipment and patients. Occasional stress from patient and job related situations.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Exposure to radiation, communicable disease, and other conditions common to the radiology setting.

· X-ray Unit

· PAC

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
