X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant

Assist our patient care focused team in performing radiological duties on procedure and surgical days. Aid in the patient care experience by ensuring the utmost comfort for pre as well as post procedure is crucial. Perform selected medical assistant and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of patient care management under the direction of a physician. Maintaining compliance and an ethical approach to job responsibilities.

• Prepare patients for procedures and utilize C-Arm/X-Ray for patient care while maintaining patient safety
• Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by supervisory staff
• Performs medical assistant and radiological procedures
• Assists the providers with patients, including preparing patients and the examination rooms, taking initial medical history for the chart, taking vital signs, and explaining the process to the patients
• Gives instructions to patients as instructed by provider
• Keeps medical records in accordance with procedures and forms
• Follows HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality
• Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required
• Responsible for proper handling and storage of all medications stored in the office
• Performs other admin related duties, as assigned

MUST HAVES:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistance training or experience, preferred
• Current BXMO license or Registered Technologist (R.T.) license for State of FL
