Job Description
- Explaining procedure to patient and answer all questions and concerns.
- Preparing machinery/equipment for use as needed including cleaning and sanitizing all necessary surfaces.
- Prepare examination rooms for testing.
- Prepare patient for testing by giving adequate instructions and removing necessary clothing and jewelry.
- Provide patient with all necessary protective equipment.
- Position patients accordingly for imaging exams.
- Monitoring patients during exams.
- Document accurate and relevant information in regards to physician's instruction.
- Reporting all findings to physician.
- Ensuring patient is safe and comfortable pre and post exams.
- Produce x-ray films of parts of the human body for use in diagnosing medical problems such as cancer or fractures.
- Prepare or administer required solutions and/or medications for patient.
- Adjust controls on the x-ray machine to produce radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast of the body part.
- Must be willing to travel to different location to meet patients who are unable to travel within NYC.
Requirements:
- X-Ray Certification or Degree
- State License
- Vehicle for travel
- Must be able to move X-Ray machine .
