X-Ray Tech / Front Desk / MA

Position: X-Ray Tech (RT, LMRT or NCT) / Front Desk

Job Status: Non-Exempt

Hours: Schedule is generally: Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm. Alternating Saturdays 7:45 am to 12:00 pm.

Work Location: Majority of hours are worked in the clinic. Occasionally will travel to off-site locations in the Houston area for mobile services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
High School diploma or GED and current NCT, LMRT or RT licensure through the TMB required. BLS/CPR certification.

Experience:
Preferably six (6) months of experience in a high-volume physician practice, occupational health clinic, urgent care center or emergency room.

DUTIES:

• Checks in patients and performs front office duties
• Process patient payments for services
• Performs x-rays and MA duties
• RSO Duties
• Performs medical assistant duties
• Provide administrative tasks such responding to emails, making phone calls, typing letters, conducting research, etc.
• Takes messages and assists physicians/providers with return phone calls to patients and pharmacies as instructed. Process referrals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Prefer bilingual Spanish
• Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.
• Experience with x-rays, labs, history and vitals necessary.
• An outstanding bedside manner with both children and adults.
• A positive and energetic attitude which inspires other team members.
• Communicates easily with people in all levels of an organization.
• Possess excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, balance multiple tasks, set priorities, and solve problems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft software products such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Prior experience with Kareo strongly preferred.
• Type 45 WPM

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Required to move from one location to another within and outside of the building; push, pull and reach; bend; stand for long periods of time; and sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to speak and write English and Spanish fluently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
