This is seasonal work involving the concession operation of Whitewater Junction water facility for the Rock Island Park & Recreation Department. Work involves responsibility for taking money for entrance to Whitewater Junction and selling memberships and classes.
This is seasonal, hourly work related to the Whitewater Junction swimming pool. The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend (May) through Labor Day Weekend (September).
Training hours will be required in May before the park opens to the public.
Examples of Duties
Must have computer knowledge and be able to balance a cash drawer
An understanding of facility rules, characteristics, policies, and procedures
Leadership and public relations skills
Decision-making skills
Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
Complete records and reports.
Participate in regular in-service training sessions.
Ability to work as a team member with other employees.
Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor. (Including cleaning)
Typical Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 15 years of age.
