Writer (Journalist & Layout Artist)

Are you a professional writer with experience in journalism and print layouts?

We Need You: We are looking for a professional experienced writer and journalist with a minimum of 2–3 years of experience to assist us in creating and distributing a positive, constructive, and lighthearted local news, events, and resources to Wilmington, Ohio through our website, newspaper, podcast, and social media.

Responsibilities:

• Write and layout local news stories in a positive, constructive, and lighthearted way.
• Attend local public meetings and events to create articles and develop story ideas.
• Take and edit photographs to enhance articles and layouts.
• Edit and transcribe podcasts.
• Schedule engaging posts to social media (Facebook and Instagram).
• Performs varies tasks as assigned.

• Exceptional people and writing skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed goals.
• Computer savvy (we rely heavily on software).

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week).

Pay: From $15.00 per hour.
