Position Title: Worship Pastor
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Hours Per Week: 20 Hours plus services (15 M-Sat, Rehearsals Thurs 2, & Sun 3 )
Summary of Position:
The Worship Pastor is responsible to provide visionary leadership and oversight to the worship department of THC and to lead all practices for THC’s worship. He/she will work closely with the Lead Pastor, Creative Director, Band Director, Technical Director and departmental volunteers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Worship Ministry
○ Plan, coordinate and lead worship in all scheduled services and special events.
○ Provide visionary leadership to the worship ministry.
○ Oversee, plan and lead regular rehearsals with band/singers.
○ Introduce 10-15 new songs a year. (willing to discuss)
○ Maintain a working song list.
○ Maintain technical equipment and musical instruments to meet the ever
changing needs of ministry.
○ Lead “Infuse”, a strategic developmental process that serves to identify,
recruit, and train new talent for the worship team.
2. Creative Team
○ Assist in planning, coordinating, overseeing, and making budget recommendations for Worship Ministry and operate within the approved budget.
○ Participate on the creative team helping to design services, events and special projects that minister to our church family.
3. Care and Connection
○ Care for the team members under your leadership.
○ Attend and/or lead a small group.
○ Create special events/fellowships in your area of responsibility as
opportunities for community, discipleship, and relational growth.
4. Administration
○ Manage and delegate office tasks to office volunteers as necessary.
○ Maintain an up-to-date teams list and schedules for band and vocalists.
○ Maintain current documents that will simplify and organize the running of
the department:
■ policy and procedure manual
■ volunteer job descriptions
■ departmental organizational chart
■ daily schedule
■ monthly task list
■ learning agenda
■ vacation schedule
Keys to Success: How can I succeed in this position?
1. Have the required knowledge:
○ Working knowledge of computers and computer programs, such as: Ableton, Planning Center, Basecamp, Google Office
○ Must have a strong knowledge of the rudiments of worship and music as well as the techniques involved in leading Worship.

○ Experience and expertise as a vocalist and musician
○ Strong leadership and creativity skills

Physical Demands
- Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs
- Able to stand for long periods of time
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $20,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
