Job Title:Workplace Dining CoordinatorDepartment: Sales

FLSA: Salaried, Non-Exempt Status: Full Time

Reports to: Account Manager

Customary Days: Monday – Friday


Customary Hours: 40 hours per week; varies to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business requires

Position Summary

The Workplace Dining Coordinator is responsible for providing sales and administrative support to the Workplace Dining team. The successful candidate will work closely with Account Managers to assure the smooth operation and integration of all drop off catering and full service catered events with all Workplace Dining accounts.


Essential Functions:

· Support Catering Managers to ensure catering inquiries are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely manner.

· Field phone calls for new delivery orders and assist Catering Managers with inputting orders in CaterXpert.

· Create Event Supervisor Packs for full service events.

· Receive dietary notes from kitchen on all full service menus and create menu signage.

· Assist with menu signage for Delivery orders as needed.

· Assist Catering Managers with billing packs as needed.

· Utilize EMS software to update full service event list.

· Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues.

· Develop a holistic understanding of the Blue Plate Vision.

· Perform other relevant tasks as required.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or related industry.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

· Basic knowledge of off-site catering and event operations.

· General interest in food, menu design, and creative event development.

· Ability to manage confidential information and maintain its integrity.

· Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office and Google applications, Catering and CRM software.

· Local travel is required.


Language Skills

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Bilingual skills preferred.

· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.

· At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

· Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
