Position Description: Who We Are:NIP Group www.nipgroup.com is a rapidly growing insurance service provider of specialty programs for commercial insurance brokers and carriers providing underwriting, distribution, product management, administration, and risk management services primarily by acting as a managing underwriter (MGA) and a Reciprocal Services Manager (RSM).NIP Groups Specialty Programs Division focuses on four core areas: landscaping and tree services, paving and road contractors, trade contractors, and green house and nursery growers.

Who You Are:Service new business and renewals for all property and casualty lines of business of the TreePro program in alignment with underwriting portfolio strategy.
What You'll Do:Reviews sales submissions to evaluate prospective clients degree of workers compensation risk and accepts or rejects based on their acceptability for workers compensation coverage
Gather complete and accurate information to support underwriting decisions
Conducts current workers compensation client base audits to ensure both client and worksite employee classifications are correct and updated and that proper premium collection is maintained
Responds both accurately and timely to all information requests from workers compensation clients, internal departments, and regulatory agencies to provide a high level of service accountability
Underwrites primarily low to highly complex accounts and risks and considers different approaches toward risks to maximize profitability (e.g., pricing, retention, endorsements, limits, indemnity, security.)
Develop productive and profitable relationships with assigned agents and brokers through quick problem solving and a highly responsive and exceptional service experience including collaborating with NIP marketing team with monthly agency presentation
Educate agents and brokers on the programs risk appetite and target market, the program product and service differentiations and encourage them to submit their accounts with highly desirable characteristics.
Maintain an established loss ratio and meet assigned production goals

What You Bring:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
Current Property & Casualty license preferred
Successful completion of technical insurance coursework toward such designations as CPCU, ARM and AU is preferred3 - 5 years of workers compensation underwriting experienceStrong track record of solving complex problems, designing creative solutions and producing profitable underwriting results and growthFamiliarity with multiple rating and issuance systemsResults and goal driven mentality with strong problem-solving abilities
Exceptional customer service orientation with the ability to create and strengthen internal and external relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, integrity and follow through
Resourceful, independent thinker with the desire to be part of a high-performance team and culture
