Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workers Comp Attorney to join our legal team. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients, as well as handling various legal matters in our office. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation. We are looking to add an attorney on the applicant side of Workers Comp
Duties:
- Attend hearings via phone calls on behalf of our clients
- Assist staff in answering client questions, issues and settlements
- Represent clients in court proceedings and litigate cases effectively
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices
- Proficient in legal drafting and writing skills
- Experience conducting thorough legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
