Work Trainer

Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm

Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for participation in the day to day operations of the Work Activity program in a production setting. They will provide for the training, supervision and safety of persons served in the Work Activity program. All duties listed below are essential functions of the position.

General Responsibilities:

1. Instruct persons served in learning proper work skills and techniques.
2. Actively engage person served in meaningful work activities or alternative learning activities.
3. Serve as a member of the PCSP team for persons served.
4. Implement individual program to meet goals and objectives as stated on person's PCSP.
5. Utilize approved behavior management techniques as stated in the PCSP and /or Starkey policy.
6. Maintain accurate daily production records on persons served.
7. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
8. Assist persons served with personal care needs.
9. Complete data forms on PCSP objectives on a daily basis.
10. Provide training and supervision for community based work experiences.

Complete subcontract work as specified:

1. Implement job assignments.
2. Meet production deadlines.
3. Provide for in process and finished product quality control inspection.
4. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Report all malfunctions to Work Activity Supervisor.
5. Maintain all inventory in a safe orderly manner.
6. Provide documentation on production, as required.
7. Validate incoming/outgoing inventory counts and document, as required

Assist in operation of the Work Activity program:

1. Assist with break and lunch supervision as assigned.
2. Maintain warehouse and production area in safe, orderly manner.
3. Clean immediate area daily.
4. Operate forklift for loading and unloading products/supplies, as required (if certified).
5. Assist with loading and unloading of persons served, as assigned.
6. Request supplies and equipment needs for persons served and subcontract work.
7. Maintain persons served areas in a safe orderly manner, including work space, locker area, changing room and restroom.

Qualifications

• Valid Drivers license for at least 2 years with a good driving record. HS diploma, GED, or a work keys bronze certificate. Able to pass backgrounds checks. Availability for 2-4 weeks of paid training M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
