The Work Readiness Instructor is responsible for instructing consumers according to established curriculum in their designated specialty area. This could include: Office Technology, Building Maintenance, Computerized Stock Inventory/Retail, and Food Service. Instructor will also be responsible to devise other means of instructing consumers who need special assistance, while teaching consumers the necessary skills to obtain a position in their designated Work Readiness field.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct instructional support to students within the Work Readiness program.
- Develops and maintains a curriculum which will be within the limits of the trainees' abilities. Consistently re-evaluate needs and limits of clients and update curriculum accordingly. Keeps up with new developments in respective field.
- Responsible for managing the catering and Work Readiness businesses.
- Assists DVE staff in identifying potential trainees for Work Readiness training.
- Responsible for ordering supplies for the kitchen, maintain accurate stock inventory and preparing weekly menu ahead of time.
- Clean and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with Department of Health regulations
- Assists in development of forms and procedure within the training area.
- Assisting with updating and maintaining billing records
- All other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Vocational Services Supervisor for optimal functioning of the program.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree required, Masters preferred.
- Previous experience in one of the following is required: 2+ years of experience in designated Work Readiness specialty, special education vocational training, Work Readiness training, and/or teaching experience.
- Previous prior experience working with adolescents or adults with disabilities preferred
