Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer who is proactive and takes a creative approach to problem-solving. Working with the Sr. Director of Digital Product and Innovation, the WordPress Developer will create and maintain functional, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing websites. Main Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with the business product teams to gather and analyze functional requirements and propose the best technological solutions for the new features and updates.
• Analyze current programs and processes and make recommendations.
• Design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites, plugins, and custom themes.
• Build the website architecture.
• Design and deploy website back-end, including database and server integration.
• Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize and fine-tune websites to achieve maximum performance in browsers and on mobile devices.
• Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
• Monitor the live website performance.
• Run website performance tests and troubleshoot issues.
• Responsible for SEO implementation and content management.
• Test automation.

Qualifications:

• Can-do attitude and a curious mind-set
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with WordPress site development
• Experience using and customizing WordPress templates
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL
• Ability to integrate websites with databases and content management systems
• Proven decision-making skills and ability/willingness to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Must be able to work and act independently and be self-directed
