Woodshop Assistant

We are looking for a competent Woodshop Assistant to help manufacture exterior wood products for our Tumwater based facility. You will be the one to help bring to life solid products such as exterior shutters, columns, vents, and various other items. Experience working in carpentry or cabinetry and using relevant equipment is preferred. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands. Be willing to following instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily assigned tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Assist team to meet daily production goals
• Pull raw material, cut to size and specific details
• Label and package individual orders per instructions, and prepare for shipping
• Safely operate chop saw, table saw, powered hand tools, sanders, staplers, etc.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years relevant work experience is preferred
• Must be able to read and understand a tape measure to the 16th of an inch
• Read and write in English and an understanding of basic math concepts
• Ability to function as a team member
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able and willing to be trained for different areas of production
• Excellent attendance (ability to arrive to work on time, as scheduled daily)
