The demand for our business continues to grow and we need more help!
As a Woodworker in our prep department you will be responsible to filling, repairing, and sanding bare hardwoods prior to them receiving their colorful stains, paints, and top coats.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for additional help in our prep department at our plant in Dutton, MI. An employee in this position is responsible for taking newly built cabinet parts and inspecting them for surface defects using high tech inspection lights, prior to repairing and sanding them. Your work is complete when the component is smooth, uniform, and free of surface defects.
Your primary tool in this position is an electric industrial orbital sander complete with internal dust collection.
A successful candidate is a diligent detail-oriented person who takes pride in completing "simple" tasks well and quickly.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee will be responsible to assist with surface preparation, sanding, parts handling, and cleaning/organizing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to forty pounds.
- The ability to work well with others, and follow instructions explicitly.
- Experience sanding, or woodworking in general is a plus.
- Willing to train!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
