- Follow written work instructions or Wire Harness schematics to assemble simple to complex aerospace Wire Harness assemblies and small electrical assemblies. Familiarization with D38999 connector assembly procedures, soldering standards and techniques, shielding requirements and wire crimping techniques.

- Familiarization with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.

- Able to interpret Wire Harness schematic drawings

- Able to use standard inspection equipment and measuring tools.

- Able to set and use torque wrenches.

- Self-inspect and test finished assembly to meet high quality standards for workmanship.

- Trimming, cutting, drilling, deburring of plastic, composite, aluminum or stainless steel materials using power tools

- Cleaning sub assembly or assembled products to ensure no foreign objects exists.

- Perform or assist in the performance of acceptance test procedures to verify the acceptable operation of a finished assembly.

- Packing or preparing containers for shipment of finished goods and assemblies

- Write, legibly, the results of any testing or required inspections

Skill Set / Experience

- Read, write and speak English

- Exhibit exceptional quality workmanship skills with great attention to detail

- Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace

- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated to meet schedule and quality requirements

- Work efficiently with little management oversight

- Ability to do simple math

- Ability to interpret drawings and electrical schematics

- Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments such as dial indicators, calipers, gages, torque wrenches, volt ohm meter, amp meter

- Ability to use simple hand tools

- Ability to safely use simple machines such as a band saw, drill press, air compressor, sander, grinder, and hydraulic press.

- Able to accept constructive criticism to improve job performance and efficiency

- Able to express issues dealing with poor quality and provide recommendations for product improvement.

- Experience in working in aerospace or automotive assembly or component part assembly industries

- Able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.

The position is a non-exempt position entitled to overtime pay of 1.5 times the base hourly wage for work in excess of 40 hours per week. Annual job performance review and merit raises are provided for based on performance. The position reports to the Production Manager.

Candidate must have a willingness to work weekends, if required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
