Winery Worker In Production

We are looking for a full-time or part-time employee to fill a position in our wine production crew. Previous winery and cellar experience will be strongly considered. You will be working with other crew members at the direction of the winemaking staff to complete a variety of jobs.

Forklift Experience - 2 years

Wine production experience - 2 years

These tasks may include:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Cleaning and sanitizing wine tanks, pumps, hoses, and other miscellaneous equipment

· Using pumps to transfer and blend wines juices and high proof alcohol

· Working with wine barrels--filling with wine or removing wine and cleaning barrels

· Measuring or weighing materials to be refined, mixed, transferred or processed

· Using basic math skills to complete winery paperwork

· Operating or attending to machines used for harvest season wine grape processing

· Operating filtration equipment to clarify juice and wine

· Performing routine maintenance on a variety of equipment and machines

· Examining samples verify quality, such as clarity, cleanliness, consistency, dryness and texture.

· Communicating with co-workers to complete tasks that require multiple persons

· Updating maintenance and service logs for winery equipment

· Must be able to Operate fork lifts, pallet jack

· Working with a crew during bottling and labeling operations

· Loading and unloading trucks for shipping and receiving

· Providing facility maintenance or housekeeping when needed

· Working overtime and swing or graveyard shifts as needed throughout the winemaking process

- FDA training w/ in 6 months of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to move about the winery to access various equipment.

· Must be able to ascend and descend stairs and cat walks.

· Ability to lift and transport objects up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
