SHADES
The SAV Shades Department was established in 2019. Since then, we have created a team that specializes in the Installation & Programming of various shades ranging from Top/Downs, Bottom-ups, Manuals and Drapery Tracks. The final product is seamlessly integrated through the use of Apps and/or the press of a keypad button. Our team gets the opportunity to work in a variety of different spaces from Commercial Amenities, Multi-Family Dwellings to High End Residential Homes. The installation of Window Treatments typically takes place during the finish phase with a heavy focus on professional installs that provide both privacy and home protection. We offer both remote training as well as in-house training for the support and growth of our department.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technician installs residential or commercial Window Treatments ranging from roller shades, tension rollers, roman shades and drapery tracks. Junior Technicians, in conjunction with Senior Techs and Project Managers, ensure that products are correctly installed, and best practices are followed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure procedures are followed, correct materials are available, project timelines are adhered to, and clients are satisfied.
  • Successfully execute Window Treatment install projects from rough-in phase through the finish phase including preparing the project space, ensuring that all Window Treatments are communicating, programming Window Treatments, et.
  • Follow safety practices and procedures, including job site maintenance and cleanliness procedures.
  • Accurately document work and report back to managers.
  • Some work assignments may require overnight stays outside of the Bozeman area.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to Read and interpret construction documentation
  • Maintain a standard of appearance and behavior that reflects SAV’s high-level of professionalism

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Training, education or hands-on experience in the construction, electrical or AV industries.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, construction plan sets and architectural drawings preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic installation techniques, including opening sizes and the device/component placement.
  • Familiarity with basic wire dress, including final trim lengths, labeling, etc.
  • Understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow
