The evolving use and omnipresence of connected devices and the increasing demand for experiential content, including mixed reality, is resulting in an exponentially increasing need for Interlife™ and its applications.About the role
This engineer would be responsible for the upgraded system network design and lead the cutover process to the designed and configured RF coverage scheme. Also, this person may need to lead troubleshooting as needed during the cutover process. Responsibilities would also include ensuring customer security needs are maintained as well as providing updates or changes to meet modern Wi-Fi and LAN security practices.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct WiFi/RF surveys and be able to assess authorized equipment coverage.
• Provide and evaluate RF coverage models referencing survey data.
• Develop mapping of RF layout to existing IDF locations ensuring network performance integrity on existing network architecture or providing solutions if upgrades are needed.
• Travel to locations around the United States and perform and lead the configuration of RF network elements from APs to switches, controllers, routers, and firewalls.
• Analyze and provide recommendations for enterprise network architecture to ensure the expected latency and bandwidth for RF performance.
• Provide documentation to illustrate deployment procedures that ensure minimal network downtime.
• Communicate with survey and installation teams to ensure designs are implemented as expected and provide constructive feedback, guidance, and corrections.
• Provide hand-offs to internal or external partners for the upkeep and maintenance of newly integrated RF networks.
• Meet project goals while minding costs and timeline considerations.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking design and implementation solutions utilizing standards such as TCP/IP and IP networks utilizing VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 network architectural design and engineering
• Quick learner with the ability to work with very little oversight beyond high-level
direction.
• Good communications skills
• Driving distance from Camarillo
• Willing to be in office 2-3 days a week
Nice to have:
- Experience with Zynq or System on Chip from Xilinx
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: From $90,000.00 per year
