Now Hiring! Join our team and be an integral part of a fast-paced, safety-oriented, and growing industry in the flexographic printing sector, specifically in paper bag production!

Responsibilities:

Maintain the overall operation of flexographic printing machines

Verify each scheduled production order prior to starting set-up

Order components based on shop order requirements for paper bag production

Perform all machine set-ups and adjustments as required for flexographic printing

Unwrap, trim, and prepare rolls for shafting

Maintain an adequate level of glue in pans, drums, or hot melt applicator hopper

Make all possible preparations for the next scheduled order

Work towards the maintenance and cleanliness of the machine and adjacent area as required

Perform First Article of Inspection at bag set-ups; perform 30-minute bag teardowns and other quality procedures (visual checks, adjustments, etc.) needed to maintain bag quality

Inform management of any substandard materials or any apparent mechanical or electrical repairs needed

Requirements

Full-time position with overtime/ open work availability

High School or GED diploma required.

Mechanical reasoning skills

Machine operating experience 3-5 years minimum, preferably in the flexographic printing industry

Ability to do machine set-ups, calibrations, etc.

Ability to read a ruler

Good communication skills

Ability to direct crew members
