As a Wide-Format Operator you will:

• Ensure proper alignment and calibration of wide-format printing equipment for optimal print quality.
• Manage and operate wide-Format Printers, focusing on large-scale print projects such as banners, posters, and signage.
• Monitor ink levels, media types, and printer settings to maintain high-quality output and efficient production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to wide-format printing machinery and software.
• Collaborate with design teams to adjust graphics to fit the specifications of wide-format printing.
• Perform regular maintenance of equipment to ensure longevity and consistent performance.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in wide-format printing to improve efficiency.
• Oversee the finishing processes, including cutting, mounting, and laminating of large-scale prints.
• Maintain inventory of supplies such as inks, media, and spare parts specific to wide-Format Printers.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment around large printing equipment.

Additional skills – nice to have experience:

• As a Prepress Operator preparing files for digital print
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite-Illustrator/Photoshop
• MBO or Stahl folders, cutters, stitchers, folder-gluer machines
• Book binding equipment - Case makers, casing in lines, Perfect Binders

What is needed:

• Maintain a good attendance record
• Comfortable learning new skills!
• Attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change
• High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
• 5-years + experience working at a commercial printer preferred
