Performs WIC Nutritionist duties per State WIC Policy & Procedures
Screens for intake data and determines nutritional risk; provides nutrition education.
Performs anthropometric measuring, lab work and maintains standing to perform required lab work.
Demonstrates motivational interviewing skills and goal setting; performs appropriate WIC documentation.
Prescribes appropriate food packages for clients; prepares nutrition care plans for clients, including those for high risk Provides client education and outreach; schedules appointments and coordinates referrals (medical & community)
Issues e-WIC benefits and assists with clinic administrative needs.
Works with other members of interdisciplinary team in a positive manner
Ensures a positive customer service experience for clients.
Uses technology as assigned, documents and signs appropriately.
Assists the Nutrition Education Coordinator and Breastfeeding Supervisor with quality assurance.
Assists the Clinic Coordinator(s)/Manager(s) and Director with projects and tasks as assigned, comprehensive teamwork.
Occasional travel and staff relief required.
