Wheel Technician specializes in repairing and refinishing wheels and wheel covers with peeling, oxidation, scrapes, scratches and scuffs to like new condition. They perform on location services in a Mr. Dent mobile truck or trailer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Remove and re-install wheels from vehicles.
- Grind, sand and polish wheels.
- Mix and spray paints and coatings.
- Perform all repair procedures according to company specifications and policy.
- Apply surface coatings following applicable procedures and disposal processes.
- Finish all repairs in accordance with repair order and to customer satisfaction.
- Complete and submit required completed repair documentation.
- Report any equipment problems or failures to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Project a professional image by wearing net and clean company provide work apparel.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Physical abilities:
- Regularly required stand, walk & reach for an extended period of time.
- Must have manual dexterity and be able to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Able to lift up to 65 pounds (wheels, jacks, hand tools etc.)
- Requires accurate vision focus including close, distance, color, and depth perception.
Environmental & Safety:
- Exposure to inclement weather
- Respirators must be worn along with other protective equipment.
- Ability to understand and safely work with toxic chemicals.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required
- 1 – 2 years auto painting experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
