Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
- Assist with passing medications and provision of resident care as needed or due to limited availability of staff (including call outs for emergencies and illnesses).
- Uphold wellness programs and initiatives to promote employee well-being.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on wellness-related topics, resident cleanliness, and safety.
- Train all wellness team members (initially and ongoing) and document training.
- Evaluate wellness team member’s skills by observation and mentoring.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Acts as a leader, role model, and innovator in the community.
- Coordinates the monthly and daily scheduling of wellness staff to ensure adequate staffing levels to provide excellent care.
- Proactively provide training needs and strategies with new and existing wellness staff.
- Accompany residents to health care appointments and advocate when needed.
- Ensure all wellness team members are oriented to schedule, care plans, and documentation of tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be available to manage schedule changes and employee call ins.
- Additional responsibilities include interviewing, onboarding, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and mentoring employees.
Qualifications -
- Must possess a current nursing assistant certification.
- Must possess at least 3 years experience mentoring care staff.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Experience in conducting employee orientations and interviews.
Physical Demands and Work Environment -
- Extended time of walking and standing.
- Moving items weighing up to twenty-five pounds.
- Assist in transferring residents weighing more than one hundred pounds.
- Bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
